The Millennials, also referred to by sociologists as Generation 9-11, will be making their way into the workforce within the next five years. For this reason, we felt it was important to provide some research and information on this generation as employers begin to prepare to bring them into the workplace. Some authors use the term “Millennials” to refer to Generation Y, but we believe that technological and other changes in the world have been and will be so rapid and have such a strong impact that there is a marked difference in the motivations and choices young people do and will make, starting with those born in 1991—our Millennials.
