Collaboration Life Cycle

A collaboration life cycle maps the activities of designers to those of the developers in each phase of a typical product development process. The cycle starts with requirements analysis, during which designers should work to establish a shared understanding of the requirements, collaborate to identify technical challenges and potential technologies, and prioritize their work against developer swim lanes. The design phase of a project sees more than just the designers doing design. Software engineers have their own design tasks that designers should support and keep abreast of.
