It ain’t over till it’s over

Well, that’s not quite it. Let’s say you’ve produced a great piece of writing (by now, I’ve got faith in you). It’s clear, well structured, succinct and enlivened with a smattering of magic. Your final job is to make sure that you’re not so wrapped up in perfecting your writing that you’ve missed something blindingly obvious which is going to trip your reader up, or worse, think you’re a stylish bluffer prone to silly mistakes. It’s time for a final edit, and some proof-reading.
