In our fourth skill, we’ll reflect on the need to develop a flexible style of influence. We’ll look at the different ways you influence someone during a conversation and consider a range of methods in which to do that. We’ll build on previous principles, e.g. directive and less directive styles, and show how it’s not always necessary to choose between the two: sometimes you can move between or combine styles. As you’d expect, there will be hints, tips and guidance to encourage you to get the most from the ideas on offer.
