What does it
mean to be a
freelancer?
T
he word ‘freelance’ harks back to a time when noble
knights slaughtered beasties and rescued damsels.
Carrying lances, they were free to work with anyone that
needed their armour-clad services. Nowadays we’ve dropped the
swords and sorcery and deal exclusively with businesses, public
sector groups, NGOs and charities, both large and small.
