The creative revolution

When Maurice Saatchi said this, he put creativity on its proper pedestal. Creativity, clever thinking – or thinking laterally or in anything but in straight lines – is what marks the extraordinary from the merely ordinary. Human beings can be (and often are) ingenious; and they are nearly always resourceful.

We have never lived in a time, except perhaps the Renaissance, where there are so many genuinely creative and inventive people around. For many leaving university, the tyranny of a career path and a monthly pay packet are quite alien concepts. They have an idea or a talent, start a company and then go for it.
