When I started this book I thought it would be a good idea to circulate a short questionnaire about personal effectiveness. It is such a wide subject that I hoped that asking people what it meant to them would provide focus. The replies were very interesting but also, in a sense, frustrating because it became clear that it meant different things to different people.
