Working effectively as part of the whole school team
When you first start in your new job you may be bewildered by the different titles which exist to describe the role of a teaching assistant. You may be known as an Individual Support Assistant (ISA), Learning Support Assistant (LSA) or Classroom Assistant. If you have a higher level qualification you may be employed as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA).
