The school curriculum, timetabling and planning
A s a member of staff who supports teaching and learning, you will need to have some awareness of the curriculum you are supporting, its structure and how different types of planning fit together. Although many areas of the curriculum are at the time of writing undergoing a period of change, the principle of knowing and understanding the key areas of learning in whatever subject area you are supporting remains just as important, and you should be entitled to additional training if the curriculum of the age group you are supporting changes radically.
