Providing pastoral support
Part of your role as a teaching assistant will be to provide pastoral support to pupils. Generally speaking, pastoral support means any need a pupil may have which is not dealt with within the classroom. In other words, you are likely to be the adult whom pupils will approach with any issues or problems which they may feel that they are not able to talk about with others.
