3.1 Introduction
In the previous chapter, you learned how much variation there is in the actual equipment operation you may encounter. While most radio announcers operate all the equipment in the radio studio while they are on the air, some television performers have the luxury of a crew to operate the equipment behind the scenes. However, in smaller markets and some cable operations, the television talent may wear more than one hat and will often assume equipment operation responsibilities as well as being the talent.
