The Television Performance Environment
3.1 Introduction
In the previous chapter, you learned how much variation there is in the actual equipment operation you may encounter. While most announcers operate all the equipment in the radio studio when they are on the air, some television performers have the luxury of a crew to operate the equipment behind the scenes. However, in smaller markets, some cable operations, and the Internet, the on-camera talent may wear more than one hat and will often assume equipment operation responsibilities as well.
