The final stages of post-production typically involve various amounts of special effects generation. Whether it is basic colour correction (post-film transfer) compositing, or more complicated effects such as particle generation, morphing or 3D camera tracking, many projects make use of visual effects.
Visual effects systems are utilised in the post-production phase of the project. These systems run on a variety of platforms such as PC, Mac, SGI or even dedicated hardware and offer a wide range of toolsets.
