Prepare Your Build Area

Caution A clean, well-lit work area will help you keep track of the parts and tools you need to build your PC.

Before you start building anything, find a low-clutter location with good lighting where you can safely lay out parts and cables. Throughout the course of the PC’s assembly, you will be dealing with lots of small cables, clips, and screws. Keeping track of these pieces is paramount, so make sure you have plenty of work space available.
