Cleverbot: Use an External AI for Difficult Questions
Your next task is to use Cleverbot to handle more difficult questions. Cleverbot is a public chatbot that’s been online since 1997. It’s designed to remember and reuse lessons learned from human inputs, so the relevance and humanity of responses will be a bit better than those of your naive Markov chain implementation. While Cleverbot is mostly known as a diverting chat bot on a web page, as you can see in the following image, it can also be accessed through an API, which is perfect for Lita’s needs.
