Associated Data Center Support Rooms
When allocating building space for your Data Center, set aside an additional area for several support rooms. Some of these rooms are simply convenience spaces that make tasks easier for Data Center users, while others are integral to the proper operation of a server environment. Most of the infrastructure that runs in to your Data Center must first terminate into another area—power in to an electrical room or structured cabling into a networking room, for example. Just as a chain is only as strong as its weakest link, so is your Data Center only as productive and secure as its associated rooms.
