Operations command center

A workspace in which employees remotely monitor Data Center servers and coordinate efforts to fix malfunctions that occur. Also known as a call center, control room, or network operations center (NOC).

patch cord

A copper or fiber cable that contains a connector on both ends. Used to provide connections among servers, networking devices, and structured cabling infrastructure.

plenum

A separate space in a structure used for air distribution. In Data Centers, this term typically refers to the spaces below the raised floor or above a false ceiling or both.

plenum cables

Cables rated for use in Data Center areas used for air distribution, such as below a raised floor or above a false ceiling.
