It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

When designing your team of NXT robots, you have to decide what the robots will coordinate to do. What will be their task? Will they perform an experiment, locate an object, monitor a room, sort objects, or solve a Rubik’s Cube or some other kind of puzzle? You have to determine what kind of robots you will need. Do they have to be mobile? What will each robot be capable of doing?
