One of the cool things about tinkering is that—get this—it can be a paying gig. And those projects pay real money, not just product trade or couch change.

I’ve completed some projects for some really awesome companies. If you’d told me a few years ago that I’d one day create prototypes that the likes of Adobe and MailChimp would be interested in, well, I’d have probably laughed.
