Chapter 7. Selecting the Staff

Introduction

This chapter will discuss a range of issues related to the selection of the right staff for the laboratory. This will include assessments of the suitability of staff, their qualifications and experience, their references and, if required, their background checks and security vetting. The chapter will also deal with the requirement for the provision of support for staff that should include access to counseling and psychiatric assessments.
