Introduction

This chapter will address the requirement for staff training and achieving the balance between enough training to create and maintain an effective unit and excessive training, which is likely to cause unnecessary costs and leave the organization vulnerable to the poaching of staff by rival companies or organizations. It will also address a strategy for the development of specialist areas within the teams.
