Amidst concern about the future of academic libraries, digital repository work has been one of the few areas of growth. Library staff members tend to recognize this trend, so often there is an abundance of people who express interest in repository work. However, frequently there is a gap between what work is needed, what the work entails, and what resources (staff time, staff expertise) are available.
