Private Cloud vs. Public Cloud
To put it simply, the private (or internal) cloud concept implies running a service hosted in an in-house data center that emulates some of the behavioral characteristics of the IaaS and PaaS services (referred to here as “public cloud” to denote a publicly shared infrastructure), such as self-service, on-demand provisioning, resource consumption tracking, and chargeback.
