Summary
This chapter discussed, at a high level, the steps involved in planning for and designing MyGolfGear.NET. Specifically, it covered how we defined our goals for the site, what features to include, the specifics of our page and layout decisions, the design process, integration considerations, architectural and security planning, as well as the tools used to develop the site.
The next chapter will begin discussing how we implemented MyGolfGear.NET. It covers building the product catalog with Microsoft SQL Server 2000. It starts with a discussion of the data model before going into the specifics of the stored procedures for the basic catalog functionality.
