If you are reading this book, you have probably already heard the term serverless on more than one occasion. You might have read more than one definition of the term, like every buzzword. I define serverless computing as a new and efficient software development approach that abstracts infrastructure from the functionality itself, letting the developers focus on their business instead of the infrastructure constraints.
