How the Compact Framework Addresses Accessing Remote Data

Just as the desktop Framework does, the Compact Framework provides a variety of network communication mechanisms that access remote data. The existence of these classes is important. As pointed out in the introduction to this chapter, the capabilities provided in this area are imperative. Without them, you can take the word “mobile” out of “mobile application” in a Compact Framework scenario.
