Chapter 9. Agile Governance
The agile enterprise is described as the highest level of the SOA Maturity Model introduced in Chapter 1. Many factors must converge to achieve the agile enterprise level. SOA provides the basic architectural pattern for defining, integrating, and managing the capabilities of the enterprise—the service units. Other factors support integration, optimization, security, accountability, and adaptation of those service units. Governance is what pulls it all together and directs the efforts to achieve enterprise agility and stockholder value.
