Chapter 2. Creating a Simple Content Site

Content sites make up a large portion of the Internet. After all, the Web was created for consuming text, and a lot of what people still do there is reading text on a web page. Although making a content site responsive on a touch device is very important, many content sites aren’t particularly responsive.

In this chapter we’ll build a website about birds in California for our client, the Awesome Bird Foundation. Because people don’t generally do much bird watching at home, our goal for the site will be to make it usable on mobile and the desktop.
