Editing the CSS for Your Layout
After you create a page, you will want to make additional edits in order to make it lay out exactly as you expect. You will always want to work in Split view when doing CSS layout, because there are some tricky concepts at play. SharePoint Designer is the first application to provide a WYSIWYG design surface for CSS layout editing; as such, there are some areas that need improvement and will require you to jump into the code to make some tweaks.
