Modifying Style Properties of an asp:menu Control

The asp:menu control renders the content of the menu items by using templates. It is not within the scope of this book to look specifically at the ASP.NET design model; however, I do want to show you how modifying the formatting for a control can expose its CSS properties and affect how it renders on the SharePoint Designer design surface. I’ll also explain how those properties are exposed for modification in the Tag Properties task pane. When you click the OOUI for the asp:menu control, you can see the robust choices available out of the box for customizing the control.
