If you have something to say, a blog is a wonderful way to get the word out. A blog — short for weblog — is an easy way to publish content for viewing on the web. Literally, millions of blogs are out there. Soccer moms use them to brag about their children’s athletic prowess, politicians use them to keep in touch with their constituents, and businesses use them to inform their customers. Content runs the gamut from vanity — it’s all about “wonderful me” — to useful information. A blog is also a wonderful way to pump up your site’s presence with a search engine.

Search engines love blogs because the content changes frequently. So, all other things being equal, a site with a blog will rank higher than a site without a blog.
