The Appendices are intended to make sure the reader has the basic knowledge about Business Intelligence and to clarify the author’s perspective on the concepts used. Appendix B “Business Intelligence from 1960 to Today” on the history of BI, not with the intention to be complete but to make the link between the developments in strategic management focus and the developments in BI. Appendix C defines the major data warehouse architectures in “The 101 on Data Warehousing.”
