Models, Methods, and Artifacts
This section provides a generic definition for most of the tools and techniques that support the practices covered in Sections 2 through 6 referenced in the case study. These tools and techniques appear in a separate section because they are universal and may be used repeatedly throughout a project, program, or portfolio. One of the most powerful aspects of these tools and techniques is that the output of one may be the input to another. The tools are referenced in the practices to provide context for the application of the tool, but that does not restrict the tool to that practice or the practice to that tool.
