INTRODUCTION

Stakeholder engagement is a key aspect of business analysis work and is needed when delivering all of the business analysis services within the BASF. Stakeholders can support or resist change, they can clarify or confuse requirements, and they have knowledge that BAs need to acquire. Accordingly, the importance of working closely and effectively with stakeholders cannot be overstated.

When carrying out an investigation of a business situation, the BA needs to reflect on the issues that have been raised and the individuals who have identified these issues.
