Updating the Database from Excel

Throughout this chapter, you have learned various ways to get data from Web sites and databases into Excel workbooks. There are times when you want to reverse the process: to move data that you have in an Excel workbook to a database.

The reasons to do so have to do with both user convenience and technical issues. There are many people who find an Excel worksheet a familiar, even intuitive work environment, but feel at a complete loss when working directly with a database program.
