A NEW ERA IN U.S.–SAUDI COMMERCIAL RELATIONS
As mentioned in the preface of this book, His Majesty King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud's September 4, 2015, visit to the United States was historic. It was his first official state visit to meet with his American counterpart, President Barack Obama. It was the first official visit by a Saudi Head of State to the United States with an accompaniment of His Royal Highness Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, an entourage of so many high-ranking Saudi cabinet members, including Defense Minister Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman; the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Adel Bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir; the Minister of Finance, His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim Bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf; Minister of Health, His Excellency Khaled Bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih; and Minister of Commerce and Industry, His Excellency Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah. The governor and chairman of the board of directors of SAGIA, His Excellency Abdullatif Al-Othman, was also a part of King Salman's delegation from the Kingdom and one of the main causal agents for the commercial interchange associated with the King's visit.
