8.1 Review

The primary question that drove the research underpinning this book is: how useful it is to apply the concept of positive peace, as a paradigm, in the natural resources context? The answer to this question reframes natural resources company-community conflict. Instead of NRCs focusing on a wide range of risks and avoiding negative outcomes, this book suggests there is merit to also considering natural resources-linked conflict in terms of (1) the emerging literature on business and peace and (2) peace and conflict theory.
