Abstract
A business continuity/disaster recovery (BC/DR) plan is useless if it is not kept current or is not understood by those who may need to participate in an emergency response and recovery operation. Therefore, it is critical to periodically train, test, and audit the plan as part of the ongoing management of the plan. Training and testing your BC/DR plan are tightly integrated activities. Training staff for the specific roles, responsibilities, and actions they take during the implementation of the BC/DR plan tests the plan.
