4 COMPARING ISO 22301 WITH BS 25999 AND UNDERSTANDING THE DIFFERENCES
PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE
In this chapter we will compare and contrast ISO 22301 with BS 25999, paying particular attention to the format, approach and requirements of the ISO standard. The objective is to equip you with the information necessary for you to make an informed decision about how best to apply the requirements of the International Standard to your BCMS.
For organisations which have, or are working towards, certification to BS 25999, we will discuss what additional work may be needed to become compliant with ISO 22301 as well as what is involved with certificate transition.
