Having noted how in especially the field of organization studies that business history has over the last two decades attracted a lot of attention, it is also evident that over the last decade there has been an explosion in the frequency of historically oriented research in mainstream management journals (namely, those that rank 4* on the CABS List and/or feature on the FT50 list).
