6.1 HUMAN RESOURCES STRATEGY
The organizational assets we today call human resources have been classically known as “personnel” or staffing. The goals of the staffing function are those of recruiting qualified people, watching after their job performance, steadily improving competence, countering human obsolescence by providing lifelong training and assuring career planning.
It is no mere coincidence that at top of this list of a company’s important staffing functions and in the management of human resources is recruiting qualified personnel. The reason is self-evident:
