Disciplinary Reports
Perhaps some other types of reports in this book could be defined as “FYI.” But a disciplinary report is a whole lot more than “For Your Information.” It must be expertly drafted and meticulously executed. And it’s really a problem if the documentation falls through a crack in your crack filing system. A lawsuit for alleged wrongful discharge is a lose/lose situation, both for your companies and your employees. A better goal is to make the experience a learning tool that will lead the employee to more work satisfaction and to improved productivity—in other words, a win/win situation.
