Documenting Secondary Data Sources
This chapter illustrates the mechanics of acknowledging, or documenting, the sources of secondary data you use for your reports. The examples shown demonstrate the American Psychological Association’s (APA’s) style manual, which is available in most bookstores and online. Documenting involves two procedures:
- Creating a detailed, alphabetical list of all sources referred to in the report. The list has a one-word title, References, and is inserted into the report after the last content page.
- Citing each source briefly when referring to it in the report.
