Why logic?

The term business logic is used a lot in e-commerce. In fact, its meaning has become diluted, standing for just about any combination of hardware or software that provides business functionality. Unfortunately, that“s much too vague to be a useful foundation for building business rules. To get onto the right track, we need a great deal more clarity and precision. The best way of achieving this is to drill down to some of the basic principles of logic itself, and that“s what we do in this appendix.
