Because Change Is a Constant Reality, Life Is More Accurately Depicted by a Video Than a Photograph
Imagine I show you two photographs. In one picture, there is a couple who look extremely happy together. The man and woman are holding hands and smiling at each other on a sunny day. The second photograph is of another couple. This second couple also looks happy. The man has his arm around the woman's shoulders. She has her arm around his waist. Same sunny day. Same big smiles. We have two pictures. A different man and different woman in each one, but they both look happy. You might think these photographs are more or less the same. They certainly appear that way.
What you can't tell from looking at the pictures is that the first photograph is of a married couple who are dedicated to each other and their family. They are looking forward to living out their lives in love, harmony, and tranquility. Regarding the second couple, what if I told you they were also married, but not to each other? Here we have two married people stealing an afternoon of illegitimate bliss in the local motel while their unsuspecting spouses are home tending to the adulterers' kids and houses. Two absolutely different situations here, but you would never know that from looking at the photographs.
Now imagine that, rather than looking at a still photograph of these couples, we were watching a long video of the same two couples. You would see one couple go home to their kids, thank and pay the babysitter, ...
