What’s This Appendix About?

When conducting a case analysis, analysts can use any of at least four approaches, and more than one method can be used for the same case. The first approach is to simply answer the questions at the end of the case. The second is the generic approach, an approach that could be used for analyzing a case for any course. The third approach is to follow a procedural strategic analysis. The fourth approach uses the Business, Society and Government Case Analysis Table. We discuss the four approaches in this introduction, but your professor will inform you of his or her preferred case analysis approach.
