Abstract:
Based on the analysis and discussion in the previous chapters, this chapter will explore the paths of development of Chinese firms in the transitional environment. It will propose a model to describe the interrelationship between the institutional environment, business strategies, competitive position and corporate governance of the firms in an emerging economy setting. The model helps to reveal three major findings.
