Welcome to our textbook! After many years of teaching C and C++ and continually searching for the “perfect book,” we have finally decided to write our own.
C++: An Active Learning Approach is designed to teach beginning programming at the college level. It has a strong focus on procedural programming using the C++ language. Additionally, at the end of most chapters we show how these concepts apply to the C programming language. The textbook serves as an introduction to programming for use within such curricula as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, and Management Information Systems, or it can be used by individuals on their own.
