About the Author
Charlotte K. Lowrie is a freelance editorial and stock photographer and an award-winning writer based in the Seattle, Washington area. Her writing and photography have appeared in newsstand magazines including Popular Photography & Imaging, and PHOTOgraphic magazines. She is the author of two books: the best-seller Canon EOS Digital Rebel Digital Field Guide and Teach Yourself Visually Digital Photography, Second Edition. Charlotte also teaches several photography classes at BetterPhoto.com. She was the managing editor of the discontinued MSN Photos Web site for more than four years, and she served as the managing editor of Double Exposure magazine for a year. She is also a featured photographer on www.takegreatpictures.com.
In stock and editorial assignment photography, Charlotte enjoys nature and portrait photography. Her images have been published in books, magazine articles, and advertisements. A selection of her photojournalism images were exhibited at a Midwest gallery.
