• On the camera body. It seems a bit obvious, but the settings of dials and switches can be overlooked, which will give you results quite different from what you expect.
Start with the power switch: is the camera powered on? Then check the Mode Dial: is the camera set to the exposure mode you wish to work in? If you’re using electronic flash, is the flash mounted, charged, and powered on?
